RING12® · Bridge + SwitchBot Bot

Even the 2-wire BUS intercom. Without touching anything.

The new RING-BRIDGE + SwitchBot Bot solution opens the entrance even where wires can't be connected. Via BLE. Without opening the intercom. Zero warranty issues.

If you have an intercom on a digital 2-wire BUS, or if your electrician refuses to solder onto the button's poles, this is the solution. A small robot physically presses the button, wirelessly controlled by our RING-BRIDGE.

The real problem

Two situations where connecting directly to the intercom's wires doesn't work.

RING12® connects to the 2 poles of the door-opening button, but there are cases where this is not possible or not acceptable.

2-wire BUS intercom

Modern intercoms on a digital BUS use the same 2 wires for power and data. You cannot connect to the internal button poles without interfering with the BUS protocol and causing malfunctions.

The electrician refuses

Opening the intercom body and soldering 2 wires onto the door-opening button's poles is an operation many electricians refuse: it voids the product's warranty and can compromise the intercom's own functionality.

Risk of failure

Even when technically feasible, an internal soldering operation exposes you to short circuits, damage to the electronic board and complete loss of intercom functionality.

The Keyless solution

RING-BRIDGE + SwitchBot Bot: no wires, no risk.

Our RING-BRIDGE receives the command over the internet and transmits it wirelessly to the SwitchBot Bot device (a compatible third-party product) mounted on the button. The bot physically presses the button. You don't touch anything inside the intercom.

SwitchBot Bot on the button A small mechanical actuator attaches over the intercom door-opening button. It physically presses the button with no electrical connection at all.
Communication via BLE The RING-BRIDGE talks to the SwitchBot Bot via Bluetooth Low Energy: no wire between the two devices, reliable and low-power signal.
RING-BRIDGE connected to the internet The RING-BRIDGE connects to your home Wi-Fi network and receives opening commands from the Keyless system in real time.
Warranty intact, intercom intact You don't open the intercom, don't solder anything, don't modify the system. The robot presses the button from the outside. The intercom's warranty remains valid.
Installation

Four steps. In twenty minutes.

No electrician, no soldering, no changes to the system. You can do it all yourself.

1

Position the SwitchBot Bot

Attach the SwitchBot Bot device directly over the intercom's door-opening button with the double-sided tape included in the SwitchBot package.

2

Connect the RING-BRIDGE to Wi-Fi

Turn on the RING-BRIDGE and connect it to the apartment's Wi-Fi network via the configuration app.

3

Pair the two devices

The RING-BRIDGE automatically detects the SwitchBot Bot via BLE within a range of a few meters.

4

Activate on Keyless

Configure the device in the Keyless dashboard and the gate is ready to open from a web page.

"The robot presses the button.
You don't touch anything."

No intercom gets opened, no warranty gets voided. The SwitchBot Bot physically presses the door-opening button from the outside, exactly like a finger would.
